Royal Python (Python regius)

MIlo is a female Royal Python the smallest of the African Pythons.  She is now about 5 years old and roughly 4 foot 6 inches in length.

Katkatkat keeps her as a pet in Edinburgh but when she comes for an extended visit we switch on the viv and she comes for a holiday as well.

This shot has caught the sheen, a slightly blue cast on her scales this is a sign of good health (so I am informed) and I think she is in particularly good colour at the moment.

For any Americans reading this you would call her a Ball Python.
