Wednesday: Lemon Syrup Loaf

I will confess that I am not really known for my domestic abilities.  Nonetheless, I made a cake today which wasn't a total disaster.  I was particularly relieved as it needed self-raising flour which you can't really get here.  But it came out relatively OK.

The idea had been to go and have tea with the Hermanos and little Salome but, as they were in the neighbourhood they came to us instead.  She slept the entire time she was here.  Bless them, she is a month old today and I think they are slowly getting used to the routine.

I tried to add this to the map but lost the whole entry so might just leave that for now.......
