eve of xmas eve

having a super-silly early start to the day was never something we hoped for...but it occurred. QLD won't go daylight savings so the sun rises at 04:28AM.  Yep, that really is a time. And it really is when the sun breaks through the darkness up here.

A meandering breakfast, a shopping list & the grocery store for all things Xmas lunch before making our way to the beach. Didn't catch the cousins who had already gone home - we didn't last long with the midday sun overhead.

Headed over to the cousins for a playdate & a terribly good home-smoked meal...there isn't too much you can't put in the smoker...

Can't be sure we have all the gifts - but it will have to do...
