Haunted Heart - Bill Evans
Great fun today, inspired by the challenge! The plan had been to offer up a 'snap' of Lochranza Castle (a well- preserved ruin, much like myself) but the sign at Brodick told us the road north was closed and cheekily offered a diversion via one of the two cross-island roads. HO ho ho! That'll be right! Change of plan called for as well as coffee and a straight from the oven cranberry scone from Coast Brodick.
Arran has lots of buildings which, sadly, look as though they could be haunted, if you believed in that sort of thing. I sneaked some shots of a deserted villa in Lamlash, apparently caught in limbo by a legal dispute which means a super old house has rusty gates, peeling paintwork and a pitiful air of abandonment.
Over the Ross Road was what I assume was a croft, long since ruined. Ghosts of the Clearances, or perhaps just the challenge of living off the land?
But the final choice was the Viking castle at Kildonan, certainly haunted by the spirit of the long ago adventurers. A beautiful morning, bright and breezy. Just the day for a blip adventure.
