Long Walk Through the Wolds Before Dinner

What a lovely Christmas day, presents in the morning was a raucous affair especially with 4 excited children, my favourite presents... Sushi had filled a frame with pictures of all the family for me, Mr Kit gave me a 1-day photography course in York, Eldest gave me the latest novel from one of my favourite authors and Dad had gone, on his own to M&S and chosen me a top..all very special. 

We enjoyed a number of toasts, especially to Mum, who last Christmas none of us ever imagined would not be here for this..she would have approved of the excess fizz and chocolates but would have hated the long walk through the Wolds before dinner.

Dinner was topped off with a tot of whiskey, a cosy fire, Dr Who, The Great Gatsby and cheese and biscuits..perfect.
