Snowing in the Swiss Alps

The problem with going away on Boxing Day is that you have to cook just the right amount of Christmas dinner so that there are no leftovers! We packed and cleared out the fridge last night (when all I wanted to do was watch Downton Abbey!) and this morning it was an early start to get to the airport to fly to Zurich.

Zurich was green with no sign of snow but an hour out of Zurich as we got into the mountains it was snowing and it was settling. This was taken from inside the car as we drove along the motorway! When we arrived at our destination the temperature was -1C, and the forecast for the rest of the week is that it is going to get colder, with temperatures of -25C on the top of the mountain. That is too cold for me and I won't be skiing if the temperature drops that low.

After collecting skis and shopping for groceries we are now settled in for a quiet night.
