December 24, 2014 Month of Christmas Books

We sent Tristan, our 7-year-old great grandson, a box full of 25 gift-wrapped books for the month of Christmas to encourage him to read and to read to his little brother Jaxon. 

Some of the books were more special than others, but the final two are especially Christmas favorites for these two great-grandparents. The photos we received today from Tristan's dad are very touching. I took a photo of each book before I gift-wrapped it. So I've included that photo too. 

My friend, Peg, who introduced me to the idea, did an amazing job of gift-wrapping the books she sent to her two grandchildren in Texas. I am so thankful to Peg for sharing with me this idea of a "Book a Day for the Month of Christmas." Tristan has certainly expressed his joy at receiving each book.
