Ghost Cicada

One of the children found a real treasure today and graciously allowed me to photograph it before adding it to her collection.

We marveled at the translucent empty shell of the cicada and how every detail - including hairs - were still present.

Someone commented the shell looks like a little old man, walking along hunched over. It does too.
