Beach Scene

There were crashing waves and exotic rock formations, but it was this display of color that held my eye. 

We spent a fine day up the coast, driving as far as the little village of Pescadero, where we hoped to sample the famous cioppino. Alas, the restaurant was booked up by savvy post-Christmas eaters, but we found great fish and chips just down the street and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Lots of stops to explore beaches that we never have time to see on those days when we are zipping past to get to the city; how perfect to have a whole day  simply to wander with visiting family.
