Canada geese

I don't get it. Why don't these geese fly all the way to warm, green Ireland, or even Florida? If you are going to fly away from winter you may as well go all the way. It's going to be -24C here next Monday, which doesn't strike me as much of a break from winter in Canada.

But I'm not going to complain--they make for a nice bit of life in a landscape photo.
