Happy birthday sunshine

This time two years ago, Nikki and I welcomed the most amazing little baby into this world.  Two years on and he's steadily developing into the most amazing little toddler.  He may deprive us of our sleep but he more than makes up for it with the joy he brings.  Thanks for being such an ace kid x

We enjoyed a fairly relaxing day today, inviting a few friends round for cake before heading off to the Botanical Gardens to witness the Winter Lights.

It's funny, just as the wee man has hit two, we've noticed how he's refusing to wear certain new clothes.  It started with a Christmas t-shirt, then his Christmas jumper, and now his new sleeping bag.  We managed to distract him with the promise of toys in order to get him to wear his jumper, and sheer perseverance with his sleeping bag, but we've not managed to get him into his new t-shirt yet.

He's consistent too.  It's not arbitrary clothes.  It's always the same ones.

Maybe it's just new clothes, or maybe he's beginning to assert his independence?  Maybe we've hit the terrible twos?
