Weaver of Flowers

Three categories exist for art entries in the Night of Radishes Festival. The largest number are the radishes, but no less fantastic are the scenes made entirely from dried flowers, and those crafted from corn husks. The details are almost unbelievable. Strict rules govern the assembly of all the objects - no glue, wire, or other artificial means are allowed. Only plant materials or toothpicks.
This woman weaving with a backstrap loom is only a small section of a display depicting the fiber arts for which Oaxaca is famous.
