Surprise!

Tonight we and two neighbors got together for a "leftover dinner." Everyone brought leftovers from their Christmas dinners - smoked turkey and stuffing and potatoes, chicken enchiladas and beans, and even some Christmas cookies! It was a great way to share foods we didn't have at our own dinners, and we decided it should be an annual event! 
Suddenly, for unknown reasons, fireworks blasted from the plaza below! Not knowing what event was going on there, we decided they were just for us!
