Big Skies: Surveying the View

It has been supa dupa hot today, well over +30C.  We walked from Shortcut Road to the Luggate Boulders along the true right of the Clutha River.  We watched a kayak race go past our lunch spot, the race was from Wanaka to Maori Point Road, which is about 48 k's.  I would say there were well over 50 competitors.  Walking back to our cars was extremely hot, and were all glad of a cool drink at the Luggate Hotel.  15 of us were out walking today.
