December Challenge: Boxes

These pretty little boxes each contain a bracelet made from antique buttons. Some are shiny and sparkly, made from glass or crystal. Others are more dull, from stamped brass or metal. There is a history behind all of them, and a card inside each box tells me the specific type of button and approximate dates that they were originally made. My oldest ones date from the 1860's. I think two of them were gifts, but that means I've indulged myself at least a few times. For chantler63's December challenge.
