We woke up to power and our stuffed stockings, so all was well on Christmas morning. Had a really lovely day with Mum; it was such a beautiful sunny day, we opened some presents and then went for a walk. I love having the day with her and relaxing together. Everything is usually quite frantic at hers as there is always so much to do, so some time together in front of the log fire is always a pleasure. It’s still so horribly sad only setting the table for the two of us, and Dad’s absence is so strongly felt. We toast him over lunch, and talk about him lots. Mum loved all her presents, and I loved spoiling her, it's one of my favourite things to do!
