Cheerful sights on my walk
Yes, I did successfully find the mud again today, but the walk made it all worth while. The sun was out and the sky was blue with fluffy clouds - delightful.
Near Heathersedge Farm, the gorse was blooming, but the yellow lichen that coated an old elder won the day. This is xanthoria parietina and is one of my favourite lichens. This is a heavily cropped image and I'm pleased with the detail achieved using the 50mm prime lens.
Was going to go to Newcastle to see The Imitation Game, which I still want to see, but the walk won.
