Like a Bird on the Wire

When the first Leonard Cohen album first came out (half a lifetime ago) I played it to death. I probably liked - Hey, That's no way to say goodbye - most, but this just seemed apposite this morning. There's lot of starlings around the house. Amongst the lyrics are :-
