Frost

Tired children from yesterday, or at least that is what I am putting it down too! Will and I wandered into town and pottered whilst Carys stayed at home with Daddy.

After lunch we headed for RSPB Fowlmere. bearing in mind it was almost 3pm by the time we got there this shows how hard last nights frost was. There were large patches like this all over the reserve. We had a nice walk, saw very few birds, partly due to the cold and partly due to the time of day.

We all got annoyed by one family who were allowing their two boys to smash any ice they could with large sticks. Will was particularly indignant. We came upon them again later in the walk and this time they were off the path smashing ice with large sticks. I wouldn't have cared if they were doing it in the local park but this is a nature reserve and as Will put it "They'll be disturbing the animals!"

Home for tea and kids in bed. Hoping for better tomorrow.
