Selfie Stick
In the past, when a person wants their picture taken in front of an Iconic scene, they would politely ask a stranger, "Can you take my picture." This was always such a nice interchange between strangers. But today, there is the "selfie stick." The phenomenon of the selfie stick started in Asia but has apparently taken hold. Today in Seattle, I saw two different parties with the device which allows for the user to take a picture of themselves (at more than arms length) with their cell phone. Time magazine called the selfie stick as one of the "greatest inventions of 2014." I like how it is dubbed the "narcisstick." I spied this couple in Seattle trying to get their photo with the Space Needle as a backdrop.
