Cold and wet

Today, we went hiking to Ancient Lakes. We should have brought snowshoes because the snow was quite deep. Still, we soldiered on. It was hard work but so gorgeous. Desi our dog loves the snow. He was running all over. However, about 1.5 hours into the hike, he got pretty crusted with snow and started shivering. I brushed the snow off and put him in Dan's backpack where he rode happily for about half an hour. After he got warmed up, he jumped out and continued his play.
