I was planning to head into the city centre to take some photos of the torch lighting tonight, but ended up waiting in all day for the plumber.  He finally showed up at quarter to 7 pm.  After we had dinner my husband suggested going to take some photos of the fireworks from the Braid Hills.  This didn't really go to plan either, so I decided to experiment with using a slow shutter speed while taking shots of the city lights.  I liked how this one turned out.
