Trouble

This is what has been causing a lot of chaos in our household, JimJams Hickman line.  It goes into her chest and into her arteries.  Its enabled JJ to have treatment, give and receive blood products, have IVs and also TPN.  When they work they are fab.  When they get infected they are a nightmare and make you feel quite poorly.   In the last 6 weeks she's had 2 different bugs 3 times.  Christmas day we ended up back in Glos with a temp of 40.  Yep, another line infection.  Decision was made to get it taken out so we transferred to Bristol on Monday and she had it out today.  (Tuesday).  She recovered amazingly well, the best yet.  She's got a temp pic line in her arm so just got to have a few days of anti bs to clear any nasties then a new wiggly can go back in.   So yet again another holiday spent apart!  2015 - you'd better be good to us and ours.......
