Ice
Another freezing winter day. The morning was spent shopping and cooking, in preparation for our friends coming over in the afternoon. I made a white chocolate and cranberry pannetone, which turned out really well - and so much cheaper than the ones in the shops.
Our friends arrived about half past two, and after a cup of tea Ross and I decided to take their dog, Yasmin, for a walk at the Rowing Lake. There was still a lot ice following the earlier flooding, though underneath there was free water, as I found to my cost.
I'd snatched up the camera before we left, and was rewarded with a decent sunset - I particularly like the effect of the low sun flushing the ice with orange, which contrasts with the purple shadow areas.
