New Year, new wool, new project......

well really New Years Eve but I'm using a bit of poetic licence.

Strange day today, popped to see mum and dad in Colchester, partly because Geoff didn't see them on the 24th and partly because my youngest brother, William, landed them with a bit of a problem.

On the 27th one of his 15 year old twins arrived at their house along with an 18 year old girl who had saved up and flown over from America to see him, and W has arranged for them to stay at their house for two weeks with Mum and Dad having the responsibility of keeping them in separate bedrooms.  Just what an 81 and 78 year old need.

Anyway everything seemed okay today, they didn't seem to be stressed so there was no need for us to step in and return them to W's house. (Ninny that is the very abbreivated version, just thinking about the 'book' idea).

This is the second time this year they have been landed with this responsibility, last time it was a 16 year old German girl who came over and it really stressed them out.

Life is never really straightforward for W, and his 15 year old twin sons have been quite a handful for the last 18 months, too much and too serious to mention on here.  We are not close.

Mum and Dad think Dad had another TIA on Boxing Day but decided not to do anything about it as the news was telling everyone not to go to A&E as the queues were bad.  They didn't phone any of us for advice, nothing unusual there.  Today when I was told it wasn't worth hassling them as Dad doesn't appear to have any symptoms, his speech and movement are okay.  I have suggested a visit to the doctor next week but they don't want to bother anyone.

The rest of life seems quite calm, my brain is a little in overdrive but not sure if that is just because it doesn't have enough to do, hopefully the knitting will help.

Bev and Hedley are coming over for dinner on Friday and will stay the night, really looking forward to seeing them.

Enough waffle, enjoy the rest of 2014 and make the most of 2015!!
