Wine, sun and heat

Set off for Stanstead fairly early to give ourselves plenty of time to drop off the car and check in. Everything went smoothly and within a few hours we had left grey cold Reading and hit very warm sunny Southern France. I quickly realised that I'd completely messed up my packing - only one short sleeved T shirt!). We picked up the hire car and headed off to the holiday house just outside Carcassonne. The house was lovely with a quiet garden. We enjoyed watching the light fade with wine , peanuts and bats before retreating indoors.
