Grow wild

Took advantage of my currently jobless status to join in with a wildflower meadow planting activity at the University. I met a former colleague on the way to the planting site and had a good chat with her. The planting was part of the Grow Wild scheme and everyone who helped was given a pack of seeds and a bug hotel for their own gardens. 

Once we'd spread the seeds by mixing them with sawdust and using plastic hoops, we were given a tour of the walled garden and the new bee hives. We even got to taste last year's honey. 

Lovely way to spend a morning.
