Pieman

As promised, I avoided the castle and the other palace and rummaged about in the streets of Leith for dark and gritty scenes. But the good citizens must all be nursing hangovers, as the place had emptied. No marauding gangs, no drug-fuelled fights, no stand offs with the police. No chance to hone my skills as a war photographer. There was only a kiltie left over from last night's Hogmanay celebrations, who looks like he's still waiting patiently for a taxi. And he's eating a pie - that's one resolution broken already.
