Happy New Year!

New Years Day usually involves a bracing walk in the country, dragging reluctant teens, but the weather today was dismal so we only walked along the length of Fort William High St. Amazingly the teens came too; clearly a tradition has been forged.

I had brought my dSLR in the hope of getting a nice group photo with a lovely landscape as the backdrop.
Instead we have the view from Morrisons supermarket, as I waited outside with the dog. It was so wet we all had to change into dry clothes when we got back to the house. The short walk, however, justified the mug of mulled wine on our return. Every cloud...
