Dinner for one

There are three distinct scenarios for my dining table.  

Once a fortnight there are 8 people, half of them under 12, dishing up a massive roast or huge lasagne or similar.

For most of the last few weeks it's been me and the two kids down one end, tucking into a toad in the hole, a homemade curry or jacket potatoes with a ton and a half of cheese and beans.

Sometimes it's just me and whatever falls out of the cupboard with a mug of tea.
