Love came down at Christmas

I spotted these lovely coloured chocolate hearts in the Läderach chocolatier as I finished off my Christmas shopping on my way home from work. It's been very easy this year - Swiss chocolate for everyone!

Day 11: We should give gifts out of love and not obligation. We should be giving up our money and time to buy/make said gifts because we want to, not because we feel we have to. Giving is a way of showing love. Our God did the same in the giving of his son, not because he had to but because he wanted to. He "so loved the world" because he couldn't leave it in the sinful state it was in. We celebrate love at weddings, let's celebrate the life-giving love God has for us this Christmas.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
