Dreamscape

This afternoon I went to White Sands beach near Dunbar, just to get out of the house and get some fresh air. The sand at this beach comes from a limestone shelf which protrudes into the sea and is covered in pits eroded by the waves.

It was freezing cold and the wind blew streamers of sand along the beach.  I only stayed an hour as by then my hands were red and frozen stiff.  This image is a long exposure of the scene with the waves rolling in and a single cloud rushing by. For me it has a soft, dreamy quality - much like my standing on the beach slowly freezing solid.
