Stumpy the three legged dog

Back to work at the Foundation my main part of the rota today was the teaching at a nearby resource centre. Groups of children come after school to improve their English - bit difficult when you've got Americans, Danish, Geordies etc doing the teaching. I did some word searches and sentence writing and as the main aim is to improve their spoken English we made pretend phone calls - we finished up with 'head, shoulders, knees and toes.

Looking into doing a 5 day placement where the foundation is trying to help a village near some game reserves with their elephant problem. The work involves trying to create elephant corridors away from the village, use of detergents, working on the land, helping repair any elephant damage to crops or houses, elephant watching and spending a couple of nights in a tree house keeping an eye out for approaching elephants.

Had a beer in the local bar - as with the black tea at meal times -  I'm beginning to get used to it.

Had a go with the new washing machine but either on the rinse or spin programme the machine moves across the toilet (yes it's in a toilet) and it pulls the plug out - on the 3rd attempt I gave up and hung it all on the line - it smelled a lot better anyway!
