Foxey

Came down from the treehouse at 6.15. No elephants spotted but a couple heard close by. Quick cup of tea and then back to the hut for breakfast and then sleep.

Up shower, lunch, rice again and then a walk to the temple - the village is called Weheragala, which literally means temple on a rock. Walked on to the after school club run by a local mum - did days of the week, months of the year and weather.

Then we introduced them to the Hokey Cokey  and then we played their version of what's the time mr wolf - what's the time mr tiger.

Then went for a walk in the jungle where we saw an elephant at a watering spot. We walked very carefully back to the jeep trying to remember the rules of elephant encountering printed in the hut - if told to run then RUN, you can also try taking your clothes off ( while running) this evidently will distract the elephant and try and run downhill. The ground was very flat and I'd only got a pair of shorts and a tshirt on.
