Brussels - Town Hall detail

Backblip 2: Today we took the train into Brussels. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as good as yesterday. It was literally pouring down. We were soaked by the time we were at the station.

First stop was the Atomium which I wanted to see. The queue was fairly long so we decided to just take a photo and head back to the Metro.

Then we tried to find the Belgian Comic Strip Center. But somehow we went in the wrong direction when we left the Metro station and got a bit lost. Normally we wouldn’t mind, but when you’re wet it’s not very funny. Eventually we found a bus stop where we got a bus back to the central train station. From here we went to the Grote Markt which I’m sure is really beautiful when the sun is shining.

Last stop was the statue of Manneken Pis. I don’t know what I imagined but not such a tiny statue.

We headed back to the station and only stopped at a diner to eat the famous Belgian french fries.

We were very happy when we were back at the hotel and were able to dry off.
