Impending DOOM

I highly doubt this sign, or building will see another new year. Big plans are in place to enhance and widen the main thoroughfare in our town. While I am excited for new roads and modernizing our city, we have to all agree on how to collectively pay for it. They put it to vote a few times, and it never gets the nod of approval from the general population but yet they have the plans and are moving businesses in preparation of a project they are still lacking the money for? Am I missing something?

On another thought, maybe this building will sit vacant like so many others in my town. Sad. This corner hardware store has been here since the 1930s serving needs of customers. I'm all for improvements but I'd like to know how we pay for it and all the details before we start closing down businesses.
