THE OLD MAN O' HOY

Glad in several ways I was able to swap my ticket - was booked to go on the Kirkwall to Aberdeen ferry last night which was delayed 14 hours.

Managed to get on this morning's sailing from Stromness to Scrabster.
Meant I could pay my respects to St. John's Head & the Old Man o' Hoy.
Meant also that I got a lift with the lovely K. all the way to Leith in time for delicious pizza with Meles & DaveH!

The Pentland Firth was pretty lumpy in a westerly force 7. I dragged K. out on deck & she dutifully admired then shot back inside - we were getting righteously spray-whipped!
