SWANS ON THE LOUGH OF HARRAY

Today we went first to show K. Yesnaby but the wind was so strong that we couldn't even open the car doors. Headed off to stagger round the Ring of Brodgar (an impressive ring of Neolithic stones) - as we got back to the car we spotted these swans.

I took several shots but this is the only one to catch them in frame - they're sheltering from the gale as best as they can one behind the other - about 18 of them!
