Heron on the Roof.

A much milder day but it made for a fairly dull walk this morning and the limited light meant the usual views we're too poor for photographs.

As I ate my porridge when I got home Chris called me to see a Heron he had spotted on a neighbour's roof across the road from our back garden.

I thought this was worthy of my blip as I have never seen one here before. They are quite common around here, often seen on Coppice Pond or the River Aire or even flying over but never on a roof. It made us wonder if someone nearby had a garden pond stocked with fish.

So on the basis that a good blip should be something you may not see again tomorrow it's not a Gull on the Roof but a Heron on the Roof!
