Taking Away The Tree

A fine mild day, a bit overcast in the morning and then we had some blue skies and a bit of sunshine in the afternoon. 

Back to work today in the museum.  It's been a very quiet day, especially since the cafe was closed!  But it will get busier soon with Up Helly Aa just around the next corner!!  Met mam for lunch and now a few hours to myself and Sammy dog before heading to work in the pub tonight.

First job of the year at work was to take down all the Christmas decorations.  I don't mind putting them up but taking down has no fun in it.  The tree had certainly passed it's best but not too many needles fallen off.  Once I got the baubles and lights off, Trevor (back) and Laurence (front) took it out the door and been disposed of.  Shame it hadn't been a tree with roots and then we'd have quite a forest at the museum now :)
