Path to the Beach

The rain lessoned to a weak mizzle and we went out for a walk.,  I told H I’d go to the beach first (to look for a blip) but actually went out on the dock to check out any ducks etc. We thought we heard a loon…  Then H came down to the dock to check the boat.   Just then,  CR-RR-AA CK! we heard the sound first and then watched this Doug Fir fall right over the path to the beach.    Whew.   Knees weak.  

We are just getting ready to leave for Seattle but thot I’d throw this up first.   It’s not that often that we witness one of these going down.   It cracked at the ground line...on a low bank. You can just see some of the stone steps to the beach.
It's been a lovely week - we even finished the jigsaw puzzle while it was still raining hard this morning......now it's back to reality.... And city traffic...
