Golden flight

Technically, it's pretty challenging shooting action into the sun for a backlit shot as even with panning, a lens will naturally find it tough to focus with so much light beyond (ah unless you have a great P&S with a sport function), but Callum didn't mind practicing again, and again, and again...

School for Reuben and Callum, Jenn and I enjoyed library time. Jenn arrived for night shift last night and is still with us and still awake. She's an angel.

Tonight's family session had a surprising touch of beautiful light. The afternoon was foggy and rather unusually, the sun came out before setting. In the family's back garden, I shot into the sun for the stunning backlight beyond the lime tree, but the house bounced incredible light into their eyes so they were lit from both sides, a natural reflector. That doesn't often happen when I'm shooting out in meadows and I revelled in it.
