Working girl
Not entirely sure of the definition of full time, but I guess today's wedding and in the last 7 days, that plus a big glam high school prom, one set of headshots for a model, one family session and 5 more family sessions for tomorrow pretty much must constitute it and many business bids in progress. This a quick capture whilst we were packing up after the oceanside wedding (thus the absence of a lens) and yes I'm super bright intentionally so you don't get to see too much of me.
The result of course should have been less time with the boys, but I've somehow juggled that with the help of Jenn (Reuben's night nurse) helping me out on a mammoth 24 hour stint and a bit of a lack of sleep this week. I just want a record of life so I'm recording this. I don't mind hard work (though my 43 year old knees do) and I even managed a Mummy teacher morning with Callum at school. So actually, I've had the same time as ever with the boys this week as ever.
Tonight I have a glass of red in my hand and rather than sleep in with Callum again so I can watch Reuben beside him, I'm getting back in my own comfy bed for an early night. It is, after all, a busy day tomorrow!
Looking back at last year's thumb, first I'm astounded that the year has gone so quickly. I find it truly hard to believe. And also, reading through quickly, how Reuben could read 100 words one year ago today, and today, we're talking the number of books he can read. M&S for instance do a great collection of early reading books and he's loving reading them.
PS When I arrived home this evening, Callum took off my hat and put some Easter bunny ears on my head. I forgot about that and 2 hours later, I've gone to take off what I thought was still my hat to have felt the bunny ears. I just wish I'd seen them in the mirror first...
