Twelfth Night ........

 ........ and I raise a glass to the passing of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 ..... may it bring good things for everyone.

Actually I didn't raise the glass as it's a bit difficult to raise, keep still, line-up, take photo etc. 
I did one of my '' Heath-Robinson-ish '' set-ups using a chair, a stool, a table mat, black cloth, two glasses, camera, magnifying screw-on lens, tripod and the soon-to-be-taken-down Christmas tree (no trusty little torch needed) ...... I think it worked rather well.

Now all I have to do is go and take said tree down and put away the gifts that are still underneath it.  That's the rest of the afternoon taken up - the tree is 8' (2.46 mtrs) tall!

The carrier pigeon has not arrived with any missions yet so it looks like a few more days free - taking Mum to see the specialist on Thursday evening as well as delivering a new microwave/grill/combination oven, assorted home-cooked (frozen) meals and some bits and pieces - my freezer is gunnel-stuffed at the moment. 
I'm hoping that the new m/wave will make it easier for her so she doesn't have to stretch for her eye level grill or bend too much to lift things out of the oven ...... we shall see how it goes - anything to make life easier and less painful.

Thank you very much for all the comments and stars on my MMC shot yesterday - the bottle is not 'new' any longer!!
