Hopeful.....

After a very murky start this morning - it was still dark as I went to work! It actually cheered up quite a lot by midday and amazingly the sun came out.
I rushed around trying to find something to blip in this window of opportunity, but couldn't see anything blipworthy.....then I noticed the Aloe vera plant growing on the windowsill, it's edges literally lit up by the sun! I quickly took a few shots, and I really quite liked this one.
Yesterday I went to a really interesting lecture on marine conservation, and I can't wait to go rock pooling next summer! I rather think this looks a bit like a sea anemone...waving it's tentacles in the tide.....
Freddy is still wearing his cone of shame, and after we realised he was still able to lick his paw if he tied himself in a knot we replaced it with a larger one.....he looks really depressed now! 
Hopefully the paw will heal really quickly ...or it might be a trip to the vet for my Fred!!
