Fred & Andy

Last night in Bangkok

Freddie got up early this morning and after 50 lengths of the pool and some breakfast we both headed out to the Jim Thompson Museum.  Jim Thompson was an architect and businessman who settled in Thailand and brought various old Thai buildings from different parts of the country and made them into his home in Bangkok.  He also had a large collection of artwork and its all displayed here too.  He disappeared, aged 61, in 1967 and to this day no one knows what happened to him.  An interesting place.

We won't bore you with all the details but after yet another long discussion with the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu we feel we may be making some progress so are going to give it a couple more weeks, until our Thai visas run out, and stay in Thailand for a bit longer.  So, tomorrow we head to Chiang Mai on the night bus.  Thanks Julia for booking it for us!

This evening we have pizza, more bubbly and play games with Julia and Udo who have been the perfect hosts.  Its been brilliant staying with them here in Bangkok.
