Back to the loch

The morning started well with a bright sky in the distance. Assuming the weather will deteriorate a wander over to the loch sooner rather than later was in order. It's quite something to dress for the weather and the camera and just as it was all in place the hailstones started. Actually it was a pleasant out there despite the occasional shower and instead of the usual walk to the water I climbed the hillock beside the loch. When people talk about their old stamping ground they need to come here to see the passages of time across the top with the local deer herd tracks and droppings. It was perfect, the wind had dropped and the sky was bright. An enjoyable hour outside forgetting this horrid chesty cold that persists, its hampering my social life. I feel more or less fine, it's the rest of it that's annoying. And not a good idea to inflict on others.

I was disappointed the real colours in the sky didn't show more in the shots taken, is there something I can add or use to show the sky and cloud as it is. It's not something I have picked up on before and wonder if it's the winter light? or perhaps a developing awareness.
