French Stilt Women
Our final full day in France was spent driving from Saumur to St Malo. OK, maybe not the full day (it actually takes around 3 hours) but it felt like it took up most of the day. We arrived in St Malo in the middle of some sort of artists free for all. We watched a woman dance with a man's suit while a man played fiddle. We saw three woman in gold metallic wigs accosting passers by. We saw a man in a bowler hat cling wrapped to a post while his friends offered balls to people to toss at him. And we saw these two. They were on stilts and their clothes were stitched together. The communicated a bit like the Teletubbies and frightened the dogs. One particular bald man was quite surprised by them.
Tomorrow morning we board the ferry for home .
I've added a photo of the stilt women to my folio in case anyone wants to see what they looked like in full. They eventually hung the umbrellas in a tree.
