5th January 2015: Thai Course

Felt so excited when I awoke this morning as it's the first day of my Thai Language course at Chiang Mai University.  I've picked up several words and phrases over my time here in Thailand but it is a challenging language due to the different tones which affect the meaning of so many apparently similar words.

It was an excellent first session and I feel really stimulated by the positive outcomes.  Bring on the remaining 14 sessions!!! My landlady and the girls at the gym are already (err... mmmmm) enjoying the benefits of my efforts to practise their language.  My most useful phrase after their replies, is to ask them to speak slowly please.
