It was pouring this morning on the school run. I decided to put Isaac's puddke suit and wellies on him and embrace the rain. It was a good decision. He splashed his way to school jumping from one puddle to the next, Amelie following closely behind dressed inappropriately in her new showerproof (ie- not waterproof) very thin poncho. Its very lovely indeed but on a slightly damp spring day, not a soaking wet winters one. I am fed up of having this particular battle though. She had to wear gloves and ear muffs too.

Once we got home I was quite wet so i put my pj bottoms back on and turned the heating on and we had some breakfast. Isaac watched Bing and then we got all the cars out for a while. I watched some programmes and we had lunch. After lunc we did a bit of colouring and then despite my best efforts he fell asleep. I thought i would let him nap for 10 minutes but of course that turned into 20...then he woke a bit and I tried to encourage him to wake up properly but he was off again. Then i just had to wake him because it was school time. He walked again to try and tire him out but hes still awake now at 8.40 so that clearly didnt work!

Chris came in just as I was settling them down to bed. They were SO excited to see him as they hadnt seen him since Monday evening. He put Amelie to bed and I tried to settle Isaac but he wasnt having any of it. We came downstairs and now he has taken Isaac back up....although I have a feeling they both might be sleeping now?!
